Nutritional Therapy is the use of nutrition science to support health and individual wellbeing.

Nutritional Therapy employs a number of tools to identify or rule out potential nutritional deficiencies and evaluate how these may contribute to your symptoms and health issues. In this way Joan Viskant is able to work with you to assess your individual nutritional requirements and help support your body to maintain health.

Personalised nutrition recognises your unique needs, whether you have complex chronic health conditions or simply wish to explore healthier eating to achieve and maintain optimal health.

BANT (The British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine) and the CNHC (The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) require Nutritional Therapists to keep up to date with the latest research and practice methods through Continuing Professional Development.

Research has shown the benefits of applying appropriate nutrition and lifestyle changes to the health of:-

  • Bones

  • Muscles

  • Circulation

  • Heart

  • Digestion

  • Lungs

  • Nervous system

  • Hormones

  • Immune system
